Former members of 1960s legends The Kinks are playing together in Preston next month.

The Kast Off Kinks will be performing at The Mad Ferret on Fylde Road at 7.30pm on Friday, October 4.

The band includes long-time members of The Kinks, whose famous records include You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset and Village Green Preservation Society.

Bass guitarist and vocalist Jim Rodford (Kink from 1978-1996) also plays with The Zombies.

He co-founded Argent and also did a stint with The Animals.

Ian Gibbons (a Kink from 1979-1989 and 1992-1996) is a current member of Kinks frontman Ray Davies’ band.
