Kendal is Calling for stars and city bands alike

Kendal Calling Festival opens its gates tomorrow to early birds, with a star packed bill of entertainment kicking off on Friday.

Primal Scream, Basement Jaxx, The Charlatans and 
Public Enemy top the bill on the main stage for the festival’s eighth year.

The event, which moved five years ago from a farm near Kendal to its current 
location at Lowther Deer Park in Cumbria, has been named as Best Small Festival at the UK’s Festival Awards.

With eight different stages, this year, it also features 
performances from 
Seasick Steve, ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, Mike Skinner and his new project, The D.O.T. I Am Kloot, 
Mystery Jets, Lightning Seeds, Ash, Fake Blood, British Sea Power and many more.

And many Preston based artists will also be playing, 
including Mobius Loop, 
Techniques, Seamus McLoughlin and Flight of
