Midge Ure brings his intimate UK tour, celebrating 20 years since the completion of his hit album Breathe, to Preston Charter Theatre next Wednesday.
The Do They Know It’s Christmas co-writer will play the acoustic gig alongside folk duo India Electric Co.
Midge says of the tour: “As well as the Breathe album we’ll give the usual suspects a makeover, so you’ll still get to hear the other hits!”
Rising to fame in the early 70s in band Slik, Ure moved on to star in other bands including Rich Kids, Visage and Ultravox, where he had a number of worldwide hits such as Reap the Wild Wind and Dancing with Tears in my Eyes, before later crafting a successful solo career.
Ure also co-organised Band Aid, Live Aid and Live 8 alongside Bob Geldof, which helped raise millions for the Ethiopian famine and most recently the Ebola outbreak in Western Africa.
