Comedian James Acaster, who has notched up a plethora of award nominations including Best Comedy Show at the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Edinburgh Fringe festivals, is coming to Chorley this week.

James, who has also graced the small screen with the likes of Russell Howard’s Good News, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Nevermind The Buzzcocks, and Mock The Week, is bringing his latest stand-up show, ‘Represent’, to Chorley Little Theatre on Wednesday, at 8pm.

It focuses on James’s time spent on jury service for a murder trial.

He said: “It’s called Represent because I talk about courtroom issues in the show and if you’re in court then you better get someone to represent you.

“Plus the last show was called Recognise so I thought it’d be cool to call this one Represent.

“This is the second show in a crime fighting trilogy, not that you need to have seen the first one to understand it.”

Speaking about working on TV compared to performing to a live audience, he added: “They are different and that’s what makes them fun.

“On TV you get to work with a lot of other comics whereas live stuff is usually just you on your own. Plus it’s ok if you eff and jeff live!”
