Lucy Kirkwood’s adaptation of The Brothers’ Grimm’s fairytale classic Hansel and Gretel, originally presented by the National Theatre, is the next production from Manchester’s Library Theatre’s Young Company.
This imaginative interpretation features props, puppets, and scenery made by members of Cornerhouse’s LiveWire Young People’s Programme, who, like all the performers in the production, are aged 14 to 19.
Recent members of the Library Theatre’s Young Company have got into RADA, the Oxford School of Theatre, ALRA, and the Central School of Speech and Drama.
Hansel and Gretel is at the Capitol Theatre of Manchester Metropolitan University, next Friday and Saturday. Box office: 0161 200 1500
