Top TV comic and ruthless one-liner merchant Jimmy Carr returns to Preston Guild Hall tonight.
The funnyman, host of comedy panel show, Eight Out of 10 Cats, is back in the city with his brand new touring show, entitled Gagging Order.
He promises a “brand new show, brand new jokes – same old Jimmy!”
A spokesman said: “The show will be packed with one-liners, stories and jokes – some clever, some rude and a few totally unacceptable!
“Everybody’s welcome. Just leave your conscience, sense of common decency and moral compass at home and come on out for a laugh.”
The comedian has featured on countless TV comedy panel shows and has also sold over a million DVDs.
He presents the yearly Big Fat Quiz of the Year on Channel 4 and has also written for shows including Bo’ Selecta! and Meet Ricky Gervais as well as penning gags for Lily Savage and Frank Skinner.
He was a guest host on Have I Got News for You and has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and QI.
But his live stand up show is what he does best and he’s delighted to be back on the road.
A few tickets remained still on sale as the Evening Post went to press although the show, which is for those aged 16 years and over, has very nearly sold out – as Jimmy does every time he visits our county.
The remaining tickets are priced at £25 each, available from the Guild Hall box office on 0845 344 2012.
