Clitheroe Royal Grammar School is celebrating after students received their 2022 A-level results.

The co-educational school in East Lancashire has performed better than the national avergage, with Clitheroe Royal Grammar School crediting the hard work of its pupils.

In a statement, James Keulemans, the headteacher at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, said: “We are delighted with the exceptional results gained by our students in their A-level examinations this year, with 19 per cent of results awarded at grade A*, 45.5% at A*-A, 75.1% of grades awarded at A*-B and 91.8% at A*-C. These results are truly outstanding.

“It is evident that the hard work of our students during their time at CRGS has been rewarded by such fantastic A level results. These achievements also reflect the dedication of our teachers and the quality of the support provided by our whole staff team.”

Mr Keulemens added: “We are extremely proud of every one of our students and we would like to congratulate them all on their achievements.

“The Sixth Form Team, have once again shown why CRGS is one of the top centres to study A levels in the North West.”

With 91.8% of grades awarded to Clitheroe Royal Grammar students being an A*-C, this is markably higher than the national average of 82.6%.

The number of A*s awarded to their students is also much higher than the average, with a figure of 19% compared to 14.6%.
