Two men plead guilty to burglary after Penwortham daytime break-ins

Two men have been sentenced after pleading guilty to a number of break-ins in Penwortham.

Police attended two separate reports of daytime burglaries at homes in Valley Road and The Avenue in Penwortham on September 27, 2019.

The break-in on Valley Road occurred while the owner was at work.

Officers conducted a number of urgent enquiries and arrested Cameron Farley, 18, and Joshua McKay, 20, on Saturday afternoon (September 28, 2019).

Farley and McKay appeared at Preston Crown Court yesterday (February 26).

Both men pleaded guilty to burglary in a dwelling.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "On Wednesday, February 26 Cameron Farley, 18, and Joshua McKay, 19, appeared at Preston Crown Court.

"Both males eventually pleaded guilty to burglary in a dwelling.

"Farley received an immediate 2.5 year prison term and McKay a lengthy suspended sentence!"
