Tumble dryer fire in Preston commercial building

A tumble dryer fire broke out in a Preston commercial building.

Four fire engines from Preston, Penwortham, Fulwood and Bamber Bridge attended the incident on Lancaster Road North, Preston, at 12.44pm today.

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. They were at the scene for one hour.

A spokesman from Preston fire station said the damage caused by the fire was limited to one room.
