Lane closed on A56 southbound after ‘smoke spotted coming from vehicle’ near Huncoat

Lane 1 of the A56 southbound was closed by emergency services at approximately 4.20pm on Wednesday (August 10),

Police said the closure was due to “smoke coming from a vehicle.”

Lane 2 was still running past the scene but motorists in the area were warned to expect slow moving traffic and delays.

“Many thanks for your patience,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.
